Poem - North Carolina Mountain

North Carolina Mountains in October
I sat and seemed to be the only one awake, Until the knocking of a woodpecker Reached my ears and I was not alone. Dew still glistened on the grass, my footprints From the night before leading away from the cabin.
I woke from a nightmare in those dark hours Just before sunrise, chased from my bed and home By images that hadn’t haunted me in years. I blame The red wolf I’d seen out the corner of my eye, Its fur black in the night and horrifying.
I’d fled outside to get away from snarling teeth And low

The last poem I wrote for my class over the summer but my favorite. It's a good example of how I progressed with my writing over the course of the class, or at least I think so?

Bronchitis is evil and ftl. >.< Hopefully I'll be able to go to classes tomorrow as I haven't been since my 10 o'clock on Monday D= There's so much work I have to do still for next week and now to make up stuff from this week. I want to cry but uuuugh, just want to get better! At least I was able to eat almost a whole plain bagel for lunch rather than just some saltines. The worst part is being in bed for 3 days with no one to talk to because I don't want anyone else to get sick DX ARGH.

DON'T GET SICK.
